Church of the Ascension provides a nursery for babies and toddlers for parents who wish to have their children supervised during worship services and other Sunday morning events. Our trained nursery supervisor is available in our nursery, located on the lower level of the church, from 10:00am-12:00pm, every Sunday.

Children are a top priority at Ascension Church. We strive to give them a good church experience where they learn about God, the Bible, worship, and community fellowship. We strive to provide an exciting and informative program for them with trained and enthusiastic teachers. We also make sure that they are in a safe and positive religious environment. (The Rev. From September-May of each year, we offer Sunday School for children before they are of the age to enter our Journey to Adulthood program.

Each Sunday at 10:30am, the children gather with their teachers for a special Children's Chapel service. At this service, they learn to sing hymns and say prayers. They receive a Children's homily and also learn about stewardship by taking up their own collection of simple coins.

After the service, they are taught a Sunday school lesson based on Bible readings. Frequently, arts and crafts are used as part of this teaching.

The children rejoin their parents at the 10:30am service in time to be part of the Offertory and take Holy Communion.
