Our chancel choir is blessed to have as our Minister of Music, Mr. David Cato, a talented musician.

The Choir rehearses regularly on Tuesday nights from 7:30-9:30 PM and sings at the 10:00am service on Sundays.

The Choir also sings at other seasonal worship services during Christmas and Holy Week and offers several Choir Concerts throughout the year for the church and surrounding community.

During the summer months, while the choir does not rehearse and sing formaly at the 10:00am service, it is a time for individual singers and musicians to offer their gifts as solosits to the glory of God.

Also, during the summer, David offers symposiums to teach people how to reach and sing music of different varieties or as an alternative a course on musical drama. There is no expectation that those who attend these symposiums will join the choir. They are simply offerings for those who want to learn more about music and have fun!

David also teaches piano and voice during the week at the church for a fee.

Ascension is also blessed to have other music ministries such as the COTA Recorder Group and Guitar Ministry. These groups play on occasion during worship services and at other special parish or community events.
