Ascension is committed to assisting adults to grow in their faith and draw closer to God and others through Christian Education and formation.

Once a month - on the 3rd Wednesday, we offer a mini-retreat in the parish hall from 9:30am-11:45am. This retreat is led by various presenters and on various topics pertaining to one's spiritual life. A continental breakfast is served. All are welcome!

During Advent, we offer an Advent Series and/or Advent Quiet Day.

During Lent, we offer a 5-part Lenten series, each Wednesday night from 6:30pm-8:30pm, with Simple Supper.

We also offer during Lent a "Women's Weekend Lenten Retreat" at Algonkian Regional Park in Fairfax, VA.

The Men of Ascension host their annual Men's Retreat in October of each year.

During the summer, we offer a "Vacation Bible School" series for adults.

Occasionally, there will be special Education Forums given between services.

In addition, we offer Inquirer's Classes during the year for those preparing for Baptism, Confirmation, Reception into the Episcopal Church, and Renewing one's Baptismal vows. Those interested in receiving these rites, have two opportunities to participate: 1) at the Bishop's Annual Visitation to the Parish, 2) at the twice yearly services held at the Washington National Cathedral.
